Starting Tuesday Dec 15th, access to the most important meeting on the planet has been locked down – leaving more than 15,000 accredited representatives from civil society excluded from these negotiations about our planet, people, forests and future!
The rich polluting countries have dominated COP-15 and trampled the concerns of those most impacted by climate change. With closed plenary sessions, 80% of NGOs excluded, and Green Room deals, the process is not accountable or transparent.
People with official UN accreditation (the Yellow Badges) — but without the secondary badges required to enter the Bella Center — will form the Yellow (badge) Bloc as part of Reclaim Power on Wednesday.
Join us to unite in solidarity with social movements from across the world who have come to Copenhagen to protest and demand climate justice!
The Yellow Bloc will join thousands of people from Climate Justice Now, Climate Justice Action, Via Campesina, and allies from around the world in a peaceful march to the Bella Center. Led by delegations from the Global South and climate-impacted communities – we will create a People’s Assembly – while allies on the inside walk out to join us.
